Surrounded by open countryside and the peaceful setting of the holiday park, our riding centre offers a wonderful environment for children, families and novice riders to spend time with horses and ponies.

Whether you're sitting on a horse for the very first time, building your confidence in the saddle, or simply looking for a fun and memorable experience with ponies, we offer a range of activities designed to make your time with us enjoyable, relaxed and rewarding.

Our riding activities are particularly suited to beginners and novice riders.

We understand that getting on a horse for the first time can be exciting and sometimes a little daunting! Our friendly approach helps riders build confidence at their own pace while learning the basics of riding and becoming comfortable around horses.

Our sessions are about more than simply getting on and riding. We encourage riders to understand their horse or pony, learn how to interact safely with them and develop confidence both in and out of the saddle.
 

Track Rides

Enjoy a gentle ride around our dedicated track in the beautiful surroundings of Stowford Farm Meadows.

Our track rides provide a fun way for novice riders to experience riding outside of the traditional lesson environment while enjoying the countryside around the centre.

Pony Parties

Looking for a birthday celebration with a difference?

Our Pony Parties give children the chance to spend time with ponies, get involved with their care and enjoy horsey activities with their friends.

It's a fun and memorable way to celebrate a special occasion.

Children's Pony & Stable Sessions

Our 3 hour sessions are designed to help young people develop confidence around horses while learning practical stable management skills, give children the opportunity to get up close to ponies and discover what caring for them involves.

Sessions can include grooming, handling, preparing ponies for riding, caring for tack, the everyday responsibilities involved in looking after horses and enjoying time in the saddle, making them a great introduction to the world of horses.

We believe that learning about horses is just as important as learning to ride them.

Our activities give children the opportunity to develop practical skills and a better understanding of horses and ponies, helping them become more confident and responsible around animals.

At Stowford Riding Centre, we want every visit to be an enjoyable experience.
