More Than Just Riding

At Mullacott Equestrian Centre, we are proud to deliver the British Horse Society’s Changing Lives Through Horses (CLTH) programme, supporting young people who may benefit from an alternative, practical approach to learning. Working alongside our horses and ponies provides a calm, supportive environment where participants can develop confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and responsibility while learning valuable practical and life skills. Each programme is shaped around the individual. Sessions can include horse care, grooming, stable management, understanding horse behaviour, groundwork and riding, where appropriate, with achievable goals that allow each young person to recognise and celebrate their progress. We understand that traditional learning environments does not suit everyone. CLTH offers young people the opportunity to learn differently, building positive relationships, discovering new strengths and developing skills that can transfer into everyday life, education and future opportunities. No previous horse experience is needed. What matters is giving each young person the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed at their own pace.
